Nanaimo Community Home-Learner’s ‘THE GREAT OUTDOORS” Activity Schedule

I see no benefit with sending my children to school.
We are born with a desire to learn; we are not taught to desire betterment.
I believe that school contradicts our innate needs by enforcing, regulating, and externally rewarding children to learn.
Why would someone else's opinion on what we need to know be more important than our insight, desires, and intuition?
No one knows what we need to be successful except us.
When we are controlled and told what we need to know, we lose all faith in our own ability and truth, and we stop wanting to learn because it doesn't feel good to us.
In order to feel good, we need to own ourselves.
We all have our own path.
And if we teach our children how to achieve their path, they will not walk their own path.
To me, this is not success.

We are truly blessed in B.C. to live in a place where our government allows us parents to choose the 'education program' for our children.
Oh, how fortunate we are! And how lucky our children are- to be able to learn for the betterment of themselves, and not for the approval of others.

ONCE A MONTH I 'ORGANIZE' (I USE THIS TERM LOOSELY) AN ACTIVITY, FOR THOSE INTERESTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS, CALLED THE GREAT OUTDOORS. WE MEET AT A PARK (VARYING LOCATION) FOR FRESH AIR, CONNECTION, AND A FAMILY-FRIENDLY STROLL, BASED UPON THE DESIRES OF WHO SHOWS UP. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN US. PACK A LUNCH IF YOU DESIRE- WE USUALLY END UP PICNICING.
